Coach Hứa Hiền Vinh was born in 1973 in Hồ Chí Minh City. He was a Cohort 5 student at the Hồ Chí Minh City Talent and Profession School, with Minh Chiến, Liêm Thanh, Chí Bảo and Trí Cường being in the same batch. As a player, he had an exceptional physique and physical strength. His favorite competing position was that of a defender, but he was sometimes set up as a forward by coaches. Throughout his footballing career, his name was mostly linked to the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club (from 1991 to 1999), where he and his teammates nabbed four championships.

Hứa Hiền Vinh officially retired as a footballer in 2008. In 2009 he became a coach to young trainees at the Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talent- PVF, and has been dedicated to the Fund since its foundation. He has always been a gentle instructor who takes good care of his students in even smallest details. The boys at PVF who are away from home thus consider him their second father.

- Named the champion at the Vietnamese National Football Champions League in 1995 (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the runner-up at the Vietnamese National Football Champions League in 1994 and 1996 (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the champion at the 1997 Dunhill Cup (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the champion at the ASEAN Police Football Tournament in 1998 (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the champion at the Vietnamese National Football Cup in 1998 (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the runner-up at The Vietnamese National Football Super Cup) in 1998 and 2001 (playing for the Hồ Chí Minh City Police Club)

- Named the runner-up at The Vietnamese National Football Super Cup) in 2000 (playing for Sài Gòn Port Club)

- Named the champion at the Vietnamese National Football Cup in 2000 (playing for Sài Gòn Port Club)

- Named the champion at the Southeast Asia Inter-Port Cup in 2000 in Malaysia (playing for Sài Gòn Port Club)

- Named the Best Footballer at the 2nd Binh Duong International Football Tournament in 2001

* Coaching achievements:
- The PVF U13 team was named the champion at the National U13 Tournament in 2010 under his coaching.
- The PVF U15 team was named the runner-up at the National U15 Tournament in 2015 under his coaching.
- The PVF U15 team was named the runner-up at the National U15 Tournament in 2016 under his coaching.
- The PVF U17 team was named the runner-up at the National U17 Tournament in 2016 under his coaching.
- The U15 PVF team was named the champion at the 2017 Vietnam U15 Championship under his coaching.

* Coaching qualifications: He has obtained C, B, and A coaching certificates conferred by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
