Among the football academies in Vietnam today, PVF is probably the most different. “Differences” in that PVF is the only academy without ”the end destination” – that is the first team playing in the V-League.

In fact, the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents (PVF) has only trained young players aged 10 to 18, then transferred to other teams. to compete in higher leagues in Vietnamese football. Specifically, PVF has cooperated well with Hanoi and SHB Da Nang, as the most outstanding graduates of the first recruited class (players born in 1997 to 1999) were transferred to these two clubs. The remaining players of this generation, and the 2000-born players were transferred to Pho Hien.
Among the teams playing in 2020 V-League, many teams currently own PVF graduates. Many people even joked that the number of PVF players is more than enough to create a “competitive” squad in V-League, with names such as goalkeeper Phan Van Bieu, defender Mac Duc Viet Anh, Thanh Thinh and midfielder. Trong Hoa, Tien Dung, striker Duc Chinh (SHB. Da Nang), defender Tung Quoc (Ho Chi Minh City), midfielder Hong Son (Quang Nam), defender Van Xuan, midfielder Xuan Tu, Thai Quy, Minh Di (Hanoi).

In Vietnamese First Division, nearly 90% of Pho Hien squad led by coach Hua Hien Vinh are PVF players. These include Le Ngoc Bao, Lam Thuan, Tran Van Hoa, Nguyen Thanh Loc of the first class of graduates, or Nguyen Huynh Sang, Nguyen Duc Loi, Nguyen Trong Long, Nguyen Khac Khiem and Uong Ngoc Tien.
Looking at the list SEA Games 30 gold-medal winning squad of Vietnam U22, there were 5 PVF graduates, of which 3 players were regular starters: Thanh Thinh, Ngoc Bao and Duc Chinh (the remaining 2 players are Tien Dung and Thai Quy).

In fact, this is not the first time PVF has made its mark in Vietnamese youth national squad. 4 years ago, Minh Di and Duc Chinh were the two PVF players who scored and contributed greatly to Vietnam U19 first ever qualification to the FIFA U20 World Cup finals. After that, the success of the Vietnamese National teams at different levels in regional and continental competitions, such as the 2018 AFC U23 Championship, ASIAD 18 football tournament, 2018 AFF Cup, or 2019 AFC Asian Cup also have footprints of PVF players like Duc Chinh.
Even in the VFF-organized national youth championships, the young players of PVF have all achieved remarkable results over the past 10 years, when they were crowned champions at least once in each category.

In the National U13 Championship, PVF has won the championship twice (2010, 2012) and finished second twice (2011, 2018). In the U15 Championship, young PVF players were crowned champions 3 times (2012, 2013, 2017) and finished as runners-up 3 times (2014, 2015, 2016). Similarly, PVF U17 squads also won the U17 National Championship three times (2014, 2015, 2017) and finished as runners-up 3 times (2013, 2016, 2019). Although being the most modest,PVF U19 has also stepped up to the highest place in the podium once (2015) and once finished second (2017) in the U19 Championship.
