Coach Philipper Troussier just announced the final list of 23 players of Vietnam U19 for the coming 2020 AFC U19 Championship Qualification in Ho Chi Minh City. There are 4 PVF players: Đỗ Tấn Thành, Nguyễn Duy Triết, Trần Ngọc Sơn, Huỳnh Công Đến. Ngọc Sơn is the youngest players, he will turn 16 this November 22th.
Đỗ Tấn Thành (white) is one of the five PVF players in Vietnam U19 in the 2020 AFC U19 Championship Qualification.
05 released players are: Trần Lâm Điều (GK), Trần Hoàng Phúc & Trịnh Quang Trường (CB), Bùi Tiến Sinh (MF) and Phạm Xuân Tạo (CF).
Some good performances in 2019 GBS Bangkok Cup such as Huỳnh Công Đến (Phố Hiến), Trần Mạnh Quỳnh (SLNA), Nguyễn Văn Tùng (Thanh Hóa),.. will still continue with the team. To prepare for the Qualification, the team has been through 6 training phrases, starting from September 13th. In this training phrase, they participated in the Thailand U19 International Tournament from October 10th to 12th along with Thailand U19, Uzbekistan U19 and Korea U19. Vietnam was the runner-up of this tournament after beating Thailand and only lost against Korea in the final.
Vietnam U19 will start the Championship from November 6th with the match against Mongolia U19. The match against Guam U19 is in Noverber 8th and the last match against Japan U19 is in Noverber 10th. All the matches will take place on Thống Nhất Stadium.
According to the format of the 2020 AFC U19 Championship Qualification, the 11 group winners and the 4 best runner-ups qualify for the final tournament in Uzbekistan. If the final tournament hosts win their group or are among the four best runners-up, the fifth best runner-up also qualifies for the final tournament.
