The Asian Football Federation (“AFC”) has just recognized the PVF Academy as a 3-star soccer academy.
On September 23, AFC officially recognized PVF Academy as an AFC Three-Star Academy.
According to AFC Elite youth schemerating scale for football training centers and academies, 3 stars is the highest level (Premier Level) in the evaluation quality of young football training system in Asia.
With this certification, PVF is the first youth football training institution in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to be recognized by AFC as a 3-star academy. Currently, in Asia, there are only 3 institutions achieving this certification, including: PVF, Aspire Academy (Qatar) and Jeonbuk Institute Hyundai Motors FC (Korea). PVF Technical Director, Mr. Eric Abrams said: “The AFC’s recognition of PVF shows that PVF is a model for Vietnamese football academies in particular and Asia in general. I hope this will create encouragement and motivate football academies in Vietnam to take new steps, contribute to the development of Vietnamese football and improve the quality of players for the Vietnamese national teams.
Along with the recognition of PVF as a 3-star soccer academy, AFC also sent congratulatory letters to the Vietnam Football Federation, which was approved by AFC as an official member of the AFC Elite youth scheme.
This program is part of AFC’s vision and mission to raise the standards of football competition at the highest level. Developing young football talents is a core element of this goal. AFC recognizes and assists Confederation members for their efforts in the development of the youth football program, including by reviewing academies’ star ratings according to AFC criteria. The fact that VFF and PVF are assessed and recognized by AFC will be a driving force and a good condition for VFF and youth football training centers across the country to join hands, continue to promote investment, develop youth football, create the foundation for Vietnamese football.
