U15 PVF are officially crowned champions of U15 National Cup 2020 after a brilliant final against U15 Viettel.
The match between U15 Viettel and U15 PVF delivers a high tempo immediately after the blowing whistle. U15 PVF appear to be a better side when creating a number of dangerous chances. At the 6th minute, Thái Bá Đạt bulldozed through 3 opposing defenders to put Nguyễn Anh Tuấn into a favorable spot for scoring. The PVF forward missed the clear opportunity though.
Instead of lying low to defend, U15 Viettel decide to stay with the attacking strategy. It is an understandable choice in order to diffuse the pressure putting on the backline. Even though suffering from plenty dangerous counters, U15 Viettel keep their sheets clean after 45 minutes.
Onto the second half, the situation gradually becomes for the Young Soldiers. U15 Viettel are deliberately slowing down the tempo and leaving PVF to control possession. However, a rigid block is maintained and the number of shots decrease accordingly. In such standoff, set pieces are silver linings that both teams can count on to make the difference.
At the 87th minute, from a corner kick, Phạm Lê Triệu rises high to make a brilliant header, opening the scoreline for U15 PVF. Conceding in the last minutes of match, U15 Viettel have nothing to lose and swamp the opposition half, creating a dramatic showdown.
At the 89th minute, Captain Hữu Tuấn of U15 Viettel performs a fascinating solo inside PVF box, but the shot is blocked by U15 PVF goalkeeper. It is also the last notable situation of the match. U15 Viettel have to accept the cup staying put in PVF.
