08 teams to participate in the final round of 2020 National U17 Championship

Vietnam Football Federation – VFF has just announced the organization of the final round (“Finals”) of the 2020 National U17 Championship.

Based on the Covid-19 pademic, with the agreement of the U17 teams participating in the Group B of the qualification round and the approval of VFF Standing Committee, the organizers of the tournament announced that they would not continue to hold the qualification round of Group B and take the final result at the time of pause.

PVF U17 has qualified for the final round of the 2020 National U17 Championship as the first team in Group A.

At the same time, VFF announced to amend and supplement the Rules of the 2020 National U17 Championship (5th time), section 8.2 as follows: “In case the number of teams/matches in the groups are not equal: when comparing the stats to determine the second-placed team for the finals, the organizer will not count the second-leg match results between the second-placed team and the fifth-placed team at all groups and also exclude the results of the first-leg and second-leg between the second-placed team and the sixth-placed team in Group E to ensure the same number of matches between second-placed teams when compared.”

Accordingly, the 8th team to enter the finals of the 2020 National U17 Championship is Thanh Hoa (Group B, the second team of the group has better performance than other second teams, besides 02 other second-place teams: Phu Yen U17 and Nutifood Academy U17).

The final 08 teams including: PVF, Song Lam Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Phu Yen, Saigon, Dong Thap, Nutifood Academy will attend the finals of the tournament at PVF Academy from September 18 to 27, 2020.
