25/11/2020Thanks to the efforts from PVF, VFF and relevant parties, the 2020 National Cup competitions for the U17 and U15 can still be organized as planned, despite overwhelming difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.
These are the statements made by Mr. Nguyễn Minh Ngọc, VFF Deputy General Director and Head of the Organizing committee for the 2020 National U17 Cup in the pre-competition Technical meeting held on November 24th. It is expected that the competition will be an opportunity for the clubs to review and consodilate their squad, and for the coaching staff of youth National Teams to scout high quality players for the future targets.

The 2020 National U17 Cup finals feature 12 participating teams. These teams are drawn into the three following groups:
Group A: PVF/Nutifood Academy/Hallmen HCM/HCM City
Group B: Viettel/SHB Đà Nẵng/Tây Ninh/Sài Gòn
Group C: Hà Nội/HAGL/Becamex Bình Dương/Long An
PVF will face Nutifood Academy in the opening match of the competition on November 26th, kick-off at 17:00.

A new competition format is applied for the 2020 National U17 Cup, which helps increase significantly the number of matches comparing to previous youth competitions. In total, 34 matches will be staged, and each team is guaranteed to play at least 5 matches. Teams will be classified from 1st to 12th place, and the prize money for the competition also receive a boost.
It is hoped that the teams will deliver exciting matches for the enjoyment of the supporters. The competition allows free entry for spectators.
