PVF hosts the Under 19 National tournament qualification 2020

The U19 national tournament qualification in 2020 has as much as 29 participating teams, a very impressive number compared to many years ago, only about 18 to 20 teams.

As of 29 participating teams, VFF has divided into five group stages, including 4 group 6 and 1 group 5, then picking up the first place of 5 groups and two runners-up through the Final tournament. In case of the team that will host the final tournament, is in the top seven teams, the next runner-up in five groups (after 2 teams determined) will qualify to the final tournament. The qualification stage period (home-away matches) is expected to be between February 10 and March 10 2020. The final tournament is expected to compete from March 16 to March 26 2020.

In this year will have 29 teams in attendance and divided into 5 groups (4 groups 6 and 1 group 5). The U19 PVF is in the group A with: U19 Pho Hien, U19 Hanoi, U19 Viettel, U19 CAND and U19 Than Quang Ninh. Group B has 5 teams (hosted by Hue football club): Thua Thien Hue, SLNA, Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa.
Group C has 6 teams (hosted by HAGL): HAGL 1, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen.
Group D has 6 teams (hosted by Thong Nhat sport center): HCM club, Sai Gon FC, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Lam Dong and HAGL 2.
Group E has 6 teams (hosted by Thanh Long sport center): An Giang, Becamex Binh Duong, Ben Tre, Tay Ninh, Can Tho and Long An.
All participating teams will play home-away matches, then picking up five first place, 2 runners-up and the hosting team for the Final tournament.
Group A matches will be held at the PVF Academy. The qualification fixtures is from February 10 to March 10 2020.
More than anyone else, coach Park Hang-Seo and U19 Vietnam head coach Philippe Troussier, is pleased that the crowded participation will help the coaches to find talents, continuing to figure out the inheritance or to select the most outstanding player for the squad, especially when U19 Vietnam will be attending the U19 Asia Final tournament in October 2020 in Uzbekistan. In addition, according to the calculation of VFF, this youth generation will be invested towards the 2026 World Cup which Vietnam is determined to be present.
