U19 Vietnam first gathering at PVF

VWith modern facilities and a professional management system, PVF has become a reliable address for Vietnamese national teams and tournaments to organize training and competitions.

Coach Philippe Troussier has carefully prepared U19 Vietnam National Team for the AFF U-19 Youth Championship and in particular the AFC U-19 Championship Finals Round. He called 30 players for the first training phase, from June 17 to June 24 at PVF Center.

Coach Philippe Troussier has built a very careful roadmap for U19 Vietnam, heading towards the AFF U-19 Youth Championship and the AFC U-19 Championship Finals Round.

The 30 players summoned to this gathering were among a large number of players monitored by Coach Philippe Troussier and his coaching staff. The objective is to assess and select players for the most optimized U19 team by the day attending the tournament.

In the evening of June 20, the same day as the opening ceremony of the National U19 Final Round 2020, when the U19 teams left PVF and the young teams of this Academy have finished dinner and are ready to come back to their rooms, U19 Vietnam’s coach Philippe Troussier started the training session at 9pm.

Coach Philippe Troussier has also showed the flexibility in recruiting agains the backdrop of many players busy competing U19 National Cup finals in 2020.

VFF’s goal for Mr. Troussier and this U19 Team is to compete for tickets to the U20 World Cup 2021. This generation of Vietnamese footballers is not as talented as Quang Hai generation. However, they have a high level coach.

Usually, late training for clubs or the Vietnamese National Team begins at 7:00 pm or at most 8:00 pm. The 9pm training session of Troussier is therefore extremely special. The French coach organizes and aligns the location of each training tool directly. He lifted, laid down each item meticulously and carefully.

It is easy to notice that the players summoned for this gathering come from clubs not qualified for the final, in which the players of Hanoi Football Club represent the majority with a number of 12 players. With them, Viettel (6 players), Thanh Hoa (5 players), Da Nang (4 players), Than Quang Ninh (2 players) and Nam Dinh (1 player).

According to the plan, within a week after this gathering, coach Philippe Troussier will check, assess the players called to screen and select players for the next gathering, which will take place from June 26 to July 5.
